Chef Jesus Peralta says:Since a young age I've had a passion for Yucatán's Mayan food, which led me to open my first restaurant in the Yucatan at the age of 17. Since immigrating to the U.S. I wanted to continue to explore the Mayan cuisine. Such exploration continued when "Mi Lindo Yucatán" opened in 2005 where I worked as the sous chef. From there we opened a second "Mi Lindo Yucatán #2" in San Francisco's Noe Valley's district where I was also the sous chef. Loving to exploring the always mystic Mayan cuisine, now, beginning April 1, I will be the chef of Haltún Restaurant, where I will bring the best of my almost 30 years of Mayan cooking experience. My cooking will include fresh produce as well as hand-homemade tortillas to accompany our dishes. We encourage you to try our great food, and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere found in our restaurant.
