Georgetown Honeybee - DC Coupons and Deals
Description
Sweet like honey, sassier than a goldfish, become the proud keeper of a colony of honeybees and do your part to help. Since 2007, there are 40% fewer honeybee colonies in the world. They help flowering crops of melons, squash, broccoli, tomatoes, and root vegetables, consume and control pollen levels in the air, and of course, produce honey and beeswax. Georgetown Honeybee Company has trained over 100 beekeepers and now, they’ll come to your home to train you. How will it all work? They’ll begin by scouting out the most advantageous location for your hive, set it up, and orient you to the required activities. In March or April (depending on the weather and availability of bees), they'll come to install the colony. Once it has been set up, you'll feed your colony sugar water weekly while your hive gets established and begins to flourish. It'll be exciting to watch the bees populate it, bringing in nectar and pollen. With minimal work and in just a few short months, your colony will be thriving. They'll fly about 55,000 miles just to make you one pound of honey. That's way more than your goldfish ever did. He just swims around looking cute.
