Stamp out stress and explore the passionate world of flamenco – the rhythmic and expressive dance form from Spain. With this deal, you are purchasing one 6-week session of Flamenco Fundamentals, a class series for absolute beginners to flamenco, where, in each 60-minute weekly class, you’ll learn all of the intriguing basics to this mysterious dance form: braceo (distinctive arm movements), vueltas (turning movements), and taconeo (heelwork). In each class, you will dance to the inspiring sounds of traditional and contemporary flamenco music. No matter what your age, you can do it. Age is no barrier; the studio welcomes all students ages 16 through 60+. This is a basic, beginners’ class, and the step-by-step class format makes flamenco accessible for anyone, even if you’ve never danced before! Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, but special dancewear or shoes are not required. Flamenco Chicago LLC is celebrating its 10th year as Chicago’s premier center for flamenco dance classes. Owner and instructor Rosetta Magdalen has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Dance Teacher, and many other publications. She has been flamenco guest artist/choreographer for Columbia College, DePaul University, Elmhurst College, Beverly Arts Center, Chicago Ballet Arts, Chicago Tap Theatre, and many other educational and cultural institutions.
