Espresso's Coffee Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: We're not sure where the phrase "made from scratch" came from, all we know is that when it pertains to food, we want it. And at Espresso's in Alpharetta, they're more than happy to oblige. As owner Jeff described how everything they serve up is handmade—including in-house pastries, soups and secret-recipe chicken salad, we were impressed. Heck, they don't even own a freezer. That's the sort of forced freshness we can admire. Espresso's flung their doors open in 2010, and, quickly after, their Buffalo & Spring brewed beans and breakfast menu was met with gleeful acclaim. Within a few months, they had added more desserts, snacks—and then an entire lunch menu. It's not a far stretch to say that people like this place. Though it might also have something to do with the vinyl records that are spinning all day long. This is a coffee/breakfast/lunch spot where regulars are commonplace—but the workers still know each of 'em. As we sat down to chat with Jeff, one such regular insisted that we convey, "They've got the best food around. I mean it. Did you write that down?" And after a quick peek inside the goodie display at the front of the spacious place, we'd have to agree. Opulent cake and pastries galore. But the high-quality edibles don't end with the baked goods. All of the caffeinated libations are made using the highest quality syrups and products, and fresh fruit is bursting out of nearly every entrée. (That goes for those Belgian waffles, too.) And Espresso's is resplendent with healthy options as well—even the chicken salad, a favorite (and Jeff's mom's secret recipe), uses much less mayo than its conventional counterpart. Made from scratch, you've met your match.
