Emma's Bistro Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes:We get it, it's hard to be patient when there are so many delectable eateries surrounding the A. But, alas, good (food) things come to those who wait. (We do love good food things.) Which is why Emma's Bistro & Grill is a go-to destination for Kennesaw-ians seeking quality eats. The place's namesake, great-aunt Emma, used to chastise the food-antsy with "be patient, man - it's gonna be good." Boy, was she right. Owners Paul and his wife Fatima use many of Aunt Emma's fresh, made-from-scratch recipes, the kinds that layer flavors and take a little time. And as if Emma hadn't taught Paul enough about his way around the kitchen - he received training from a Sicilian chef too. At first glance, Emma's Bistro & Grill seems unassuming. The decor is simple: cream, red and black; without all those bells and whistles. But that's simply because they don't need 'em. Fatima likened their quality to that of a Buckhead restaurant, and the regulars agree. One forkful of their round-the-world cuisine is fancy enough. Every dip and sauce is made in-house, and all the wines were selected with particular entrees in mind. Entrees that are as varied as the popular coconut curry dish (with tilapia or chicken) and the lamb gyro, made with fresh herbs and spices. And of course, the coconut shrimp with panko bread crumbs and sweet coconut flakes (no shrimpin' on quality here). You may have time to sit down and relax before your meal, but embarking on a crazy fresh culinary tour de world? Just hop o'er the perimeter - no need to wait.
