Description
In the back of Shalimar, Central Square’s neighborhood Indian grocer, you’ll find Dosa Factory. Here, as the name suggests, you’ll find authentic dosas ($7-11.95): crispy-thin crepes the size of your forearm, stuffed with savory meats and vegetables. Dosas also make great desserts—try the Carrot Cake or Ginger Honey. Just “‘don’t neglect’ the rest of the ‘range of rarely found dishes’” (Zagat) from the extensive menu of Indian staples from Chicken Korma ($8.95) to Vegetable Biryani ($10.95). Eat it all cafeteria-style (you pay after you eat) while watching quirky Bollywood dance videos in your newfound home for satisfying Indian street eats on the streets of Cambridge.
