Dining Room Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: Having a formal dining room is one of those basic luxuries that most in NYC tend to give up in order to live here. It's just not practical. Instead, we find other peoples places to have friends over for a meal. Thus Dining Room, a new local hangout now open in Downtown Brooklyn, and ready to host your get togethers. The rich, dark wood walls, molded ceilings, and hard wood floors all harken a certain level of sophistication and elegance, while still seeming comforting and homey. Sit down at the bar up front and watch the world go by out the window while you sip a beer of house cocktail. Or pull up a table in the dining room near the fireplace and tuck in for a long, gourmet meal with friends. There is a second bar space in the back that they are still working on, but at the moment is open for larger gatherings (perhaps a holiday party?), and starting next month they'll regularly have live music and performances. So what will you be dining on, exactly? Just a few takes on traditional comfort food. Choose from the likes of small plates like Bruscetta or Heirloom Wedge Salad, or a variety of Charcuterie and Cheese plates. For larger fare order up a grass-fed Burger with Gorgonzola Cheese, or a Shepard's Pie.
