Important note on USFA Membership and insurance: As of August 2012, the United States Fencing Association revised its policy on insurance. Anyone fencing in a USFA-accredited and insured fencing club, including beginners and recreational fencers, must be a USFA member in order to be covered by the club's USFA-issued insurance policy. To make this easier and less costly for clubs and fencers, the USFA has created a new $5 annual non-competitive membership. All fencers, even new beginners, must purchase at minimum this $5 annual non-competitive membership; competitive fencers should continue with their annual $65 USFA competitive membership. Forms for membership are available at the club, and on the USFA website.

En garde in this full contact combat sport with three dynamic fencing classes from DC Fencing. Fencing movements keep you spry, nimble, and allow your hand-eye coordination to bloom as you experience first hand how to wield a sword. With this experience, you'll be guided by pro-fencers through every step of learning this elegant and demanding sport. Learn proper form and technique, how to lunge and retreat and especially, how to keep your opponent on their toes. This is an original Olympic sport that relies on footwork and strategy, so prepare to sweat, anticipate their moves and hit first.
