$65 for a Two-Hour Cake-Decorating Class ($130 Value) Tuesdays and Thursdays (except Valentine’s Day), from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the retro-style cakery introduces students to the decorative possibilities of buttercream and fondant. With hands-on instruction, fledgling bakers learn to prepare fondant and cover cakes with it, cut out shapes for added dimension of decoration, and use piping bags to make lines and patterns.
