One of the best known sax players in the world, David Sanborn's smooth-as-silk style infuses jazz with pop, rock and R&B sounds. A six-time Grammy winner, his career took off with his 1975 aptly-titled debut album, "Taking Off", and it hasn't come down since, producing more than 20 other discs and joining heavyweights like Bowie, the Stones and Clapton in the studio and on stage. South African composer, guitarist and singer Jonathan Butler is also a Grammy nominee, whose sound is also based on a mix of R&B, contemporary jazz and gospel. He first came to fame as a teen idol in his homeland before emigrating to England and the U.S., where he continues to record and tour. His latest disc, "Grace and Mercy", was released in 2012 and debuted at No. 1 on "Billboard" Magazine's Contemporary Jazz Album chart.
