Held one or more Saturdays each month, their all-day training course covers everything from handgun safety and proper storage to the DPS Proficiency Test at the Marksman Indoor Range. Plus, your highly trained instructor will supply eye and ear protection and a firearm if you don’t have your own. At the end of 10 hours, you’ll not only be armed with everything you need to know, but you’ll have all the required paperwork notarized and ready to go so that you can apply for your CHL right away.

Rental gun provided if needed for no additional charge. Those who bring revolvers will only qualify for a license to carry a revolver. DPS forms are provided.
