Our childhood games taught us a lot more than how to belt out "olly olly oxen free" when a round of hide-and-seek was over. Denver's Children's Outreach Project, a nonprofit preschool and therapy center, agrees that group activities aren't just fun and games -- they bolster your child's social skills and self-esteem. Choose your 30-month-old to 6-year-old child as your teammate for today's deal: Pay $45 for a six-week session of the Play and Learn for parent and child (regularly $90). Classes are taught from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. each Friday by an early childhood specialist, and the festivities include songs, art projects, and those ever-popular games. Develop your child's coping skills, sensory integration, and attention span as he or she practices social skills in a fun atmosphere. The first session of 2012 begins January 20, and the second in April, giving your little one two opportunities to venture away from home base and return victorious. Want more?
