It isn't too difficult to stumble into a little by-the-number Mexican-style eatery around these parts. And while they might whip up an edible burrito or two, when it comes to foodstuffs, we're more interested in variety. (That's right. Stand aside, walking tacos.) Thankfully, Ceviche Taqueria and Margarita Bar has been serving up authentic Mexican comida in their snug restaurant since 2007 – and there's no need to order the same combo twice. If there was ever a restaurant we were tempted to dub gourmet Mexican, this would be it. And it's no surprise that the laid-back, eclectic place is right in the hub of historically delicious Canton Street in Roswell. The restaurant is family-owned, with a casual atmosphere and cheerful chalkboard signs on the walls. It's a great little spot for a catch-up lunch, a dinner rendezvous or some frontside people watchin' (or there's a back patio, if you're so inclined). And, of course, there are appetizers, entrees and libations a-plenty. The joint's namesake, Ceviche is offered up in 6 varieties, ranging from shrimp to peruvian corvina – if you're feeling adventurous, go for the trio sample taster to get a sneak-peek at three of 'em. For an entree, the regulars swear that after one bite of the Elsa's Chicken Enchiladas Verde, you'll never go back to those old burrito stands. It, unlike most Mexican food, looks delicioso with handmade sauce, fresh veggies and a little kick, sans smoke-from-the ears spiciness. slake your thirst from their stock of over seventy tequilas, and stop playing the order-by-numbers game.
