Award-winning writer Lisa Loomer ("The Waiting Room, Girl: Interrupted") penned this comic drama about one mother's search for answers in the age of Ritalin. Alerted by his teacher that her 9-year-old son may have Attention Deficit Disorder, a mother dives into research mode, reading books and reports, talking to medical professionals and psychiatrists, studying homeopathy and exploring clinics -- while the father believes his son is just having a normal childhood. Family life, pharmaceuticals and social expectations are all put to the test in this timely play, presented by Underground Railway Theater, a project of Catalyst Collaborative@MIT.
