Been a while since you lit the dance floor on fire? Today's scorcher from Casino Salsa Tampa will give you the skills necessary to turn up the heat next Saturday night: Pay $17 (regularly $35) and get one month of Cuban salsa dancing lessons; or, get two months for $34 (regularly $70). Classes are held every Tuesday in the Dancin Motion School of the Arts Studio, located north of downtown Tampa on North Armenia Avenue. Instructors Billy and Yachira will guide you through the patterns of Rueda de Casino, an energetic and social style of a circle dance that first developed in Havana in the late 1950s. (Hint: rueda means wheel.) There's time for one-on-one dancing, and beginners classes are also available -- meaning that no salsa experience is necessary to reignite your spark for creative movement.
