($18 value) The Bucks County Symphony Orchestra (BCSO) proudly announces its Spring Concert on Sat., April 28, 2012 at 8 pm at Central Bucks High School West. The concert will celebrate Maestro Gary S. Fagin’s 10th Anniversary as Music Director. The orchestra will perform “Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125,” considered by many to be the greatest piece of music ever written. This was the first example of a major composer including voices in a symphony; the well-known “Ode to Joy” in the final movement. For this special performance, the BCSO will be joined by the Bucks County Choral Society, under the direction of Thomas Lloyd; and will feature Academy of Vocal Arts soloists, Indra Thomas, Cynthia Cook, Jeffrey Halili and Jason Switzer.
