Scout Notes: The first time I walked in to Bridge Boutique, I knew I was in trouble. Within about thirty seconds, a pair of studded denim, a sweater emblazoned with a wolf, and about half a dozen party dresses had made their way into my mental shopping list. And I hadn't even made it more than ten feet in the door. Stocked to the rafters with simply gorgeous clothing, shoes, and accessories that you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in Atlanta, Bridge is my own new guilty pleasure. And if the stylish gals flocking to the shop are any indication, I'm not alone. The boutique's goods, which range from exquisite cocktail dresses to leather cowboy boots, are handpicked by owner Mañana, who describes her aesthetic as "vintage-inspired, newly desired." In other words, a way to rock a classic vintage look, minus the shoulder pads and awkward fit. The racks of dresses includes frocks by Tracy Reese (for the classic glamour queens), TR Plenty (for those who like to rock a modern edge), and the lesser-known Lauren Moffatt (for those who want, need, must be the only gal at the party wearing that dress). Finally, finally we can get the hang of that whole vintage-chic thing we've all been trying to accomplish with mixed results). And rather than sifting through rack after rack of generic duds that'll be stuck in closet-purgatory a year from now, you can walk out of Bridge knowing for sure that your handsome new pair of menswear-inspired oxfords or swingy, Gatsby-esque dress will last for ages.
