Bertucci’s Coupons 2014
The first Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizza location was opened in Somerville, Massachusetts in 1981. The restaurant began expanding in 1985 with two additional locations; by 1989, there were 14, all uniquely designed to discourage a “chain” image. The company went public in 1991. After booming in the early ‘90s, expansion into unfamiliar territories such as Orlando, Chicago, and Atlanta led to difficulties, forcing the company to scale back. Bertucci’s was acquired by N.E. Restaurant Co. in 1998; the company changed its name to the Bertucci’s Corporation in 2001.
Bertucci’s Menu Items
In the beginning, Bertucci’s sold only brick-oven fired pizzas. While brick oven pizza remains their specialty today, the restaurant also serves a variety of other entrees, including pastas, seafood dishes, chicken, and steak. Other popular items include brick-oven-roasted vegetables, Tuscan chicken wings, antipastos, and Italian soups. Desserts include tiramisu and limoncello mascarpone cake. During lunch hours, Paninis and focaccia sandwiches are served. A kid’s menu with smaller portions is available.
