Scout Notes: Here at Scoutmob, we like to think of ourselves as the authority on good burgers. But just when we thought we knew it all, Belcourt Taps knocked us off our high horse with one of the best and most unique burgers we’ve ever had. Just trust us when we say that if you’ve never been to Taps, you’re really missing out. So what makes Taps so special? Two words: stuffed burgers. If you’re wondering how one goes about stuffing a burger, don’t worry. We were, too. Basically, the folks at Taps take a burger patty (Taps uses local Angus beef) and top it with all kinds of goodness. Then they top that with another burger patty and form it into one big super burger. Our personal favorite is the Hell’s Kitchen (stuffed with Thai, habanera, and jalapeño chilies + honey cream cheese), but if you like your burger more on the simple side, then the Juicy Lucy (stuffed with American Cheese) is the burger for you. Not a burger fan? Taps offers everything from salads and crab cakes to nachos and (most recently) BBQ. Also cool: you can enjoy live music every day of the week at Taps. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your pup. They’ve got a dog menu and everything!
