Scout Notes: The "Nation" in this beer shop's name might have you thinking of world domination, but don't be fooled: this spot is about as neighborhood-y as it gets. Meats from Pine Street Market, ice cream from Frozen Pints, pickled green beans from the restaurant around the corner, cheese from the neighborhood cheesemonger and, of course, all that beer... Indeed, owners Constantine and Kelly make for some good neighbors. Especially since, after falling in love with growlers, they decided to give their own neighborhood a taste of the fun. Thirty taps later, those growlers are getting filled up with stouts, ciders, ales, IPAs and just about any other fermented libation one could wish for, all swapped out on the reg based on what's in season and what's just plain good. True to their local-lovin' ways, Beer Growler Nation reps Atlanta's own beer scene with taps from Wild Heaven, Monday Night, Red Hare and more. (Psst: we also hear that they take requests.) And just in case that's not enough beer to keep you busy, that freezer full of Frozen Pints is calling your name (oh, hello, chocolate stout ice cream).
