Irvine, California-based Baja Fresh Mexican Grill opened its first “Quick Casual” restaurant in 1990, with the goal of providing a fresh and healthy alternative to fast food. The company runs some of the restaurants privately, as well as offering franchise opportunities.
Baja Fresh has 249 locations and counting in 26 states, Singapore, and Dubai. The chain has begun opening prototype Baja Fresh Express locations in airports for an even quicker experience, with the same commitment to fresh ingredients.
Baja Fresh’s Menu Items
Baja Fresh uses fresh, never-frozen, all-natural ingredients for their menu items. They offer a variety of burritos, tacos and taquitos, and the popular Baja Bowl, which consists of rice, beans, roasted vegetables, onion, and salsa verde topped with a choice of protein. Most dishes are centered on fresh grilled chicken and pork carnitas; other options are steak, wahoo, and shrimp. Baja Fresh also serves fajitas, nachos, salads, chicken-tortilla soup and churros for dessert. A kid’s menu and an Under 500 Calorie menu are available.
