Soto, a Japanese restaurant with a "touch of French influence," has opened up north in Lakeline Plaza with Chef Kenji Okamoto at the helm. Chef Okamoto started his career in Japan at 10 years old working in his uncle's restaurant. At 15 years old, he moved to the US with his family and the rest is history. He has experience working as a Sushi Chef at both Nobu and Morimoto. He now adds his own experience and flare as the Head chef at Soto.Soto's philosophy is to integrate the best food ingredients from all over the globe and the fresh seasonal ingredients from local Texas farms with our upscale culinary skills. Soto is specialized in traditional Japanese cuisine with a touch of French influence. At Soto, each dish created is made with care, artistry and a deep level of detail. In the Japanese language, "soto" means "world of outside", and we want our customers to see things different from what they usually see at other restaurants.
