Prior to Yipit, Nitya started her software development experience at Goldman Sachs followed by Limewire. Nitya earned a bachelors degree in Computer Science and Advertising with minors in Business and Journalism.
Dave Tomback
Director of Business Development
Prior to Yipit, Dave co-founded neigh*borrow, a peer-to-peer marketplace for sharing items with friends and neighbors. Previously, Dave worked in management consulting and investment banking. He received a BA in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Henry Xie
Developer
Henry recently graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics/Economics and a minor in Computer Science. In his college years, Henry founded Harvard Reuse List, a university-wide platform for the reuse and redistribution of goods. He received a university award for his entrepreneurial efforts to foster community sharing and boost resource efficiency.
Kelly Byrne
Office Manager
Before joining Yipit, Kelly worked as an accounting assistant and office manager at TJM Holdings, a brokerage firm headquartered in Chicago. She lived in Chicago for four years before deciding to move back to New York City. Kelly graduated from Fordham University in 2006 with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Communication and Media Studies.
Unaiz Kabani
Data Product Manager
Before joining Yipit, Unaiz was a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations practice. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a triple major in Mathematics, Economics, and Political Science. While in school, Unaiz co-founded BookBump, which provided an online platform to manage personal libraries and share books.
Joe Johnson
Business Operations Associate
Prior to Yipit, Joe worked at AOL Ventures, founded an education technology company, and worked as an investment banker in the Financial Sponsors Group at Wells Fargo Securities. Joe graduated from Georgetown University in 2008 with degrees in Finance and International Business. While in college, he spent a semester abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Outside of work, Joe is passionate about skiing, photography, and travel.
Gabriel Falcão
Developer
Passionate open source developer, graduated in Free Software Technology (Brazil). Is the author of Lettuce, Guake Terminal and many software libraries. Prior to Yipit, Gabriel was a software engineer at globo.com, where his automated testing skills got stronger. By the end of 2010 won the 1st place on an internal globo.com hacking contest. While not at work, he spends his time hacking on open source projects, writing poetry, longboarding and studying photography.
Andrew Gross
Developer
Andrew came to Yipit.com from Quality Health, a successful NYC based healthcare marketing company, where he lead the integration of Amazon Web Services into the infrastructure. Andrew graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Applied Engineering Physics in 2009.
Suneel Chakravorty
Developer
Suneel graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in Mathematics and a citation in Mandarin. While in college, Suneel spent two summers in a language immersion program in Beijing. Prior to joining Yipit, Suneel founded Lingoville, a language learning site that would allow students to practice with native speakers through videochat. In his free time, Suneel enjoys ballroom dancing and playing the piano.
Sean Spielberg
Data Analyst
Before joining Yipit, Sean worked in investment banking at Barclays in the Equity Linked and Hybrid Solutions group. Sean graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics-Statistics, and served as a teaching assistant in the economics department.
Lincoln de Sousa
Developer
Prior to Yipit, Lincoln worked as the technical manager and lead developer of the award-winning Digital Cabinet project. He designed and developed apps to help citizens of a state in Brazil opine on the current management of the state. He also worked as the lead deveoper of the Digital Culture department in the Ministry of Culture of Brazil. As an open source developer, Lincoln has made significant voluntary contributions to many projects including Debian and Gnome. He's also the maintainer of several projects including Guake Terminal.
Emily Tiernan
Business Operations Associate
Before joining Yipit, Emily worked in investment banking at Lazard. Emily graduated from Princeton University in 2010 with a degree in international relations from the Woodrow Wilson School. While at Princeton, Emily played lacrosse and helped found Princeton’s chapter of the Circle of Women – a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing women’s education in the developing world.
Allen Yang
Product Analyst
Before joining Yipit, Allen worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, and then in a strategy role at PepsiCo. In college, Allen also interned for the White House Council of Economic Advisers. He recently graduated from Harvard College where he studied Economics with a minor in Psychology. Outside of work, Allen enjoys reading and exploring the food scene in NYC.
Rumela Das
Developer
Prior to Yipit, Rumela worked as a trader in structured notes (exotic interest rate products) at Morgan Stanley. She graduated from MIT in 2011 with degrees in Economics and Finance.
Jordan Milan
Data Product Analyst
Before joining Yipit, Jordan worked as a credit trader and a high yield credit research analyst at Barclays. Jordan graduated from Harvard in 2011 with a degree in economics and a minor in statistics. Away from work, Jordan enjoys fitness and nutrition, golf, books, and movies.
Matt Raoul
Head of Design/UX
Prior to Yipit, Matt co-founded Nestio, a TechStars backed company determined to fix the crazy world of apartment renting. Previously, he worked for an unknown amount of years in Interactive Advertising at The Barbarian Group. His origins beyond that are unknown, even to him. Outside of work, Matt is determined to see how many ways he can prepare deviled eggs.
